Pi Equals is the 10th xkcd comic.
π (pi) is a mathematical constant. It is very important in many areas of math and science, and, (as far as we know) it has the same value everywhere in the universe. Since a mathematical constant is a fundamental value for a universe, someone who was trapped in a universe factory could presumably use one to sneak a "help me" message into one of the universes being manufactured.
"My most famous drawing, and one of the first I did for the site"
"Pi Equals" was one of the first comics that Randall drew specifically to post on xkcd.com. Before this, he'd only uploaded old drawings from his notebooks.
